Seconds Sale Item

A wheel-thrown and hand-glazed ceramic coffee mug. Made using rustic stoneware clay and a contrasting, glossy blue glaze with beautiful depth of colour, these are simple yet striking.

Capacity - approx 375m to the rim, perfect for a large cappuccino.

"Seconds" information - there are 6 mugs available in total, each with at least one of the following imperfections -

  • Warping - rim has become slightly oval in shape during the kiln firing (instead of completely round), example in photo 3.
  • Glaze pinholing - tiny pinholes in the glaze on the inside of the mug mean extra care should be taken when cleaning - dishwashing is recommended. Example in photo 4.
  • Clay colour imperfections - small patches of clay discolouration near the base of the handles - example in final photo 5.

Care

All items are dishwasher and microwave safe.

Handmade item

All my pottery is individually handmade and hand-glazed, so please expect small variations in size, shape and glaze effects. Each item is slightly unique in its own way, which is what gives handmade pottery its character!
